Located in Downtown Los Angeles, AXIS PT provides patients with the greatest potential for recovery from injury and/or underlying dysfunction. Our licensed Physical Therapists have extensive experience with manual therapy techniques, biomechanical analysis, and exercise prescription. Through proper evaluation and assessment our therapists determine the appropriate course of rehabilitation for each individual. This will include manual therapy, postural re-education, body and movement mechanics training, therapeutic exercise, and sports specific exercise training.
AXIS PT treats more than the injury or dysfunction. We provide patients with a foundation for future wellness and injury prevention. In addition to addressing an individual's physical therapy needs, we implement preventative care strategies as part of a well-rounded rehabilitation program. Nate graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Marymount University in 2012 and prior to that received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine at Pepperdine University in 2008. Nate specializes in outpatient orthopedic care working with the general population as well as athletes and has been working in Downtown Los Angeles with AXIS PT since 2015. His assessment and treatment approach comes from the principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). Through these principles he is able to recognize dysfunctional movement patterns and find the cause of the symptoms; not solely treating the source of the pain. He then utilizes manual therapy - soft tissue and/or joint mobilization techniques – and exercises to restore pain-free, quality movement. Exercises focus on mobility, flexibility, motor control, and strength. The goal for each patient is to develop an awareness of their own body and movements and learn to be independent from the physical therapist. In his free time Nate enjoys biking, playing basketball, running, and watching movies.
